Can I dispute a speeding ticket - even though I was speeding?

I don't necessarily want to dispute it, I just don't have enough money to pay it and want to kow if it can be lowered. I'm 8 months pregnant and going on mat. leave. Not that that excuses the speeding. I live in BC - Canada
