How long would it take to experience symptoms? Do you really have to wait until your next period for results?

Thanks ladies for your responses. Yes, I love my husband. We don't have issues I'm just spoiled and when I didn't get my way I wanted to do that but I was hurt more than him just imagining what I did. Especially trying to have a family with the man I have unconditional love for. I'm not familiar with the process so I am seeking answers to my questions.
