I trapped my neighbors cat and now they are angered...how do I correct this?

So your anger got the best of you and now there's bad blood between neighbors, all because a cat walked on your car. As annoying as it is to you the paw prints do wash off and don't cause any lasting damage. I'm not surprised that your neighbors were angry at you, I just hope you don't have any children that ever make the mistake of running across their front lawn. I would apologize to them and ure them it will never happen again.
