In a public fantasy baseball league, a player was mysteriously dropped?

The Commissioner in my Yahoo Fantasy baseball league didn't like a trade that went down (and not vetoed). The player that was traded to my team was dropped, and the graphic showed that the Commish dropped the player. The date on the trade showed: "Drop (c2011-05-13)" Is it possible for the Commissioner to cut a player in this scenario from my team? (the player is now on waivers). The Commish denies dropping the player.
