Should i be worried about sudden death? Please help!!?

i am a 15 year old boy and my cousin died in his sleep about 8 months ago. They did an autopsy and said it was sudden arrythmic death syndrome A.K.A. SADS. It is inheritable and i am afraid that i have the disorder. They checked his little siblings but they turned out fine. They also did an EKG on me about four months ago and said that i was fine as well. The problem is, i am having the sympthoms again and i'm afraid i can have a cardiac arrest at any minute. This is something British youth seems to be increasingly less willing to commit themselves to. Just as a query, what does someone taking (say) a history degree EXPECT to get out of it in terms of vocational oportunities??? What should we do about this school situation?

My son is in 2nd grade. He can be difficult & is a challenge. He's not disrespectful to his teacher or mean to other kids, he just has a problem focusing/listening/following directions, it's hard for him to stay on task. At home has has spelling words, it's hard to get him to study, but eventually it happens & he gets 100% on his tests he takes at school. When he brings work home that he does in school, it's all Ds & Fs. I know his teacher is fed up with him, so she just has a whatever attitude instead of working with him. One day he didn't come home w/ his spelling words. His dad went into cl to get them. When he asked the teacher if they had spelling words this week, she said yes, she gave them to my son. His dad said well he never brought them home can I have another list. She said well, I gave it to him. His dad just stood there & said well he doen't have it so I need another one. She said he should have brought it home. His dad just stood there in disbelief. Finally, the teacher hesitantly gave it to him. I just think that is wrong, he's 7 yrs old, why would she almost refuse to give us his words? I just thing that was unacceptable on the teachers part. I feel like she has given up on our son because she's not up for the challenge. He's failing 2nd grade. We're going in to talk to the principal next week. But what should we do? I don't want to anger the teacher, but my son deserves someone who's going to actually teach him. Should we demand a new teacher? Should we have the principal talk to his current teacher & see if she changes her tune? She even said that he is smart when he pays attention. She subtly suggested that he should be on medication. I don't believe in that, it's unhealthy for the child, & it's an easy way out. The child needs to be worked with/taught, not medicated. Some 1 special, by your words this sounds like a patella tracking problem. In this case I would advise that you try these movements to gain better control of the muscle that helps keep the patella, kneecap, moving correctly. The first one is easy and all that is required is a bath towel that has been folded into 3rds and then rolled up. Place rubber bands on each end. Now ume a long sitting position on the floor and place the towel roll under your uninjured knee. Now have the muscles of that leg push down into the towel roll as hard as they can for 30 seconds and then rest for 15 seconds. Repeat that twice more with that leg and then switch the towel roll to the opposite leg and perform the same movements on that leg 3 times. This should be done multiple times throughout the day always starting with the uninjured leg first. Next stand up and do this movement. Hold the injured leg out straight from the hip while keeping the knee absolutely straight. The heel of that leg should be about 6" off the floor. Now slowly lower yourself as if doing a squat. Keep lowering yourself until the straight legs heel touches the floor. Go back to the starting position and continue doing that until you have performed between 10 and 15 reps. Rest for 1 minute and then do another set. Again rest for 1 minute and then do a last set. Now switch legs and perform this movement with the injured as the one you are standing on. Do the movement 3 times on that leg. This can also be done using stairs instead of standing on the one leg if that either scares you or you are just uncomfortable doing it this way. Stand sideways next to the bottom step. Place your uninjured leg on the bottom step running the same way as the step. Now simply stand up using only the uninjured leg until it is fully straight. Slowly lower the injured leg back to the floor. Do this 10 to 15 times and then rest for 1 minute. Repeat that sequence twice more and then switch legs. Do this movement at least twice a day and you should see a definite improvement in the strength and pain levels of the knee. Now if you have pain in both knees you are going to find that 1 knee is slightly better than the other so use that knee as the uninjured one. If you have access to a gym that has resistance machines you can also work the knees out using those machines. What you are going to do there is to start with the uninjured knee. The 1st set is done with a light weight and you do 15 reps. Rest 1 minute and then using a heavier weight that is not too challenging. Do 10 to 15 reps then rest 1 minute. On the last set you either increase the weight factor again to one that is challenging but you are still able to do at least 10 or stay with the last weight done. After doing the last set change legs and go through the same routine with the injured leg. By the last set there should be an increase in your strength. Do this routine and within a few days the knees will be reduced in pain and functionally you will be better.

Why do people who ride harleys think they are better the guys on sportbikes?

I posted a question earlier and I get a response about being a squid. I put more miles on my bike in one season then most people do in years. Why is it just because someone has a harley or cruiser they think they're better then the guy on the sportbike? Or that the guy on the sportbike is a squid because of what he rides? I promise you it's harder then it looks to clutch up a bike at 90 and ride it over 100. Or to reach 170 mph on a bike and feel comfortable. Just because us (squids) or whatever you call someone who doesn't ride a overpriced underpowered bike don't enjoy going slow and trying to look cool doing it doesn't mean we dont have to have alot of skill to do what we do. We all enjoy the freedom of riding so why are we labeled squids even though we put more miles on bike and try to learn to stunts. I saw a older man the other day on a big cruiser sitting on the curb by this light. His bike was on its side and he couldn't get the bike up off the ground. Even though I ride a gsxr I stopped and showed him how to pick up the bike from the ground. Would a guy on a harley stop for a guy on a sportbikes the dropped it or just keep cruising by just thinking what a squid? So what exactly makes you better then me? The iDA-X305S will play Apple Lossless from those devices so if it's sound quality that you're looking for you can still have it. The one thing you have to ask yourself is when do you really use CD's anymore? Most people when they actually think about it don't use them at all. Whereas if you have an iPhone you probably do use Pandora far more and the iDA-X305S gives you control of that app and most head units with a CD player don't.

There's a strip of blur across my left eye. It's hard to explain but I can't see anything out of it, it's like a small part of my left eye is blind, I can't see anything from that part of my eye, reading text is hard and the first letter of any word usually doesn't seem to appear when I'm looking at it. Is this a symptom of blindness? I looked it up but they all said it's just gradual blurring until your eyesight is gone. Down Syndrome. Am i way out of line here?

I'm a little curious after i got into a mive argument with and old friend. The thing is her and her partner have two little boys. One is 6 and the other is just toddling. The elder son has down syndrome which is sad but he is such a happy young chap full of smiles whenever i see him. Should I move to New York with my girlfriend?

I am 23, my gf is 20. My girlfriend of 2 years is planning to go to NYU law school in the fall. Now we both live in the Bay area, California (not together, just near each other). My husband wants a Neopolitan Mastiff. I am not familiar to the breed and have been researching it but havent found my question to it really. We will be getting land soon of about 3.4 acres and I was thinking of turing 1.5 acres into a dog only area as I have horses also. I also have a 10mnth old Shiba inu dog, my question is will a Neopolitan Mastiff get along with another male dog when it gets older, or will it try hurting my dog? we had problems with our mini dachshund we had to give back to my mother inlaw because It would attack my dog and bite through its ear like it did to his own father when he went back to my mother inlaw. If one on one teaching is available, try and use this as much as possible. Visual aids in teaching are going to be much more effective than just words coming out of the teachers mouth. Some sort of incentive program...cause and effect...based on rewards of some type will be very motivating to this type of student. Also have some sort of progress chart where the student can actually 'see' their progress. Also, try and be creative by giving fun projects where the students interactively help in 'teaching' the cl. Help with coping with a loss of friends?

its been exactly a year tomorrow. My best friend and two of my other friends had been drinking and smoking and they took his sisters car for a joyride. We were all 15 at the time they were going 50 in a 30 and a cop tried to pull them over and they sped off they were chased for less than 5 minutes before the car flipped and hit a telephone pole the car exploded into flames my best friend got out with serious burns and let the cops know the other two were in the car. The officers couldnt get to the car because of the flames they both died. When i first heard the news the next morning i had never been so depressed in my entire life. It took me about 3 months just to get other people to think i got over it. But with 1st full year without the two i cant forget im still very good friends with the one that escaped but i cant stop thinking about it. any advice to how i can at least keep this to myself without it driving me crazy. please help.

Breakthrough bleeding on cilest?

So i've been getting severe pelvic pain for the last year and i'm on the waiting list for a laproscopy as i have seen a gynacologost who is pretty certain i have endometriosis. About 5 months ago my GP put me on the contraceptive pill Cilest. I found that my pain was much much worse, almost unbearable when i was taking my 7 day break to have my period. I mentioned this to my gynacologist who i saw about a month ago. He told me to take Cilest continuosuly without ever taking a break. I should have had my break just over a week ago and for the last 4/5 days i've had some breakthrough bleeding that have contained quite a lot of clots. What should i do!? Is this normal??

Okay, so over the past few months, my friend has started dating this guy, and ever since then she firmly believes that she is a vampire. Yes, a VAMPIRE. She ALSO believes that she is a demon and that she will one day rule the underworld with her current boyfriend who she claims is ALSO a vampire/demon. She has started hearing things and seeing things that aren't really there, and she always talks about death and drinking others blood. She claims that she can 'transform' into a vampire, and that when she does she loses complete control of herself. This, of course, brought some concern to my other friend and I, so today we finally decided to go speak with the school counselor, because we fear she is a threat to not only herself but others. We are very concerned. They are going to contact her mother tomorrow morning, and then she will find out that I went to someone for help, and she will absolutely HATE me for it. She may not understand this now, but I really do care about her, and I don't want her to end up hurting someone or herself. I mean, for gods sake! She talks about KILLING PEOPLE and DRINKING THEIR BLOOD. Its not right. So my question is....do you think I did the right thing? Im so upset because my best friend is now going to hate me...but I guess its better to lose her as a friend than for me to not say anything and then something bad happen...right? Please. How to go to an out of city highschool?

so i currently live in a surburb near philadelphia and ive been looking forward to junior year at my current school. school starts august 30th and my parents just informed me that we're moving to harrisburg sept 1st. im soooo depressed right now and idk what to do. ive been in this school district since i was in the 6th grade so im kind of attached and i know everyone and my counselor and i are really close, and i know the teachers, etc. now we're moving and im in the 11th grade already and im having a hard time getting over it. i tried to reason with my parents but they keep telling me how selfish im being and what not because my mom is getting a new job and my younger brother (7th grade) is starting a new school. i can understand how that makes me look selfish but i can't get over the fact that im switching schools at this moment. my sister who is 21 has her own apartment around here and i asked them to let me move in with her, but they said no, because i would misbehave and they couldnt leave me for 2 years. so i said they should let me take the greyhound or amtrack but they said someone would have to be picking me up from the station every morning and afternoon seeing as it's far from my destination. idk what to do now, and i feel really stuck. i was thinking i could get a chauffeur preferably a female, but i have no idea how to get my hands on one. please if you have a way that can help me please tell me. if you have any advice please give me. and if you're just gonna be mean and try to lecture me and tell me what my parents have already told me, please dont bother answering.
